A Trail Wallet alternative, now that Trail Wallet is gone
Trail Wallet is no longer available. Voyage Travel Apps has marked its page as archival and the app came off the App Store in August 2026. If you used it for years, you are looking for something that does the same job and stays available.

First, get your data out of Trail Wallet
If Trail Wallet still opens on your phone, do this before anything else. It is unmaintained, so a future iOS release could stop it working with no update coming.
Open each trip you care about and use the CSV export, then email the files to yourself or save them to Files or iCloud Drive. Once the data is out you can take your time choosing a replacement.
What Trail Wallet got right, and what to insist on in a replacement
Trail Wallet worked because it treated a travel budget as a daily number rather than a monthly one. It asked what you wanted to spend per day and showed you that number. Several newer apps have replaced this with a dashboard.
- A daily budget as the main screen, not a monthly category report
- Multi-currency that keeps the local price as well as the converted one
- Entry fast enough to do at the table, in three or four taps
- Full offline operation, because that is when you are travelling
- An export you can run yourself, so you are never trapped again
Where Tasca lands
Tasca uses the same daily budget idea and adds per country breakdowns, a spend calendar, a Home Screen widget, Siri entry, and exports in three formats rather than one.
It also carries forward what you underspend, so a cheap day leaves more available tomorrow.
There is no item cap. The useful lesson from an app disappearing is to pick one you can export your data out of at any time.

Not directly. Tasca imports its own JSON format rather than arbitrary CSV files. Most people keep the Trail Wallet CSV as an archive and start their next trip fresh, since travel budgets are naturally per trip.
